COVID 19

We are so excited to announce that we are now offering a more comprehensive approach to COVID-19 testing. In addition to the COVID-19 virus test and COVID-19, 10 minute rapid finger prick screening test, we now have the ELISA IgG/IgM serology antibody test!

Here is a complete list of all of our current COVID-19 testing options:

COVID-19 virus test: Good for patients currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or those who were recently exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. This test is a PCR nasal swab test. Results are received back from the lab within 24-48 hours.

COVID-19 IgG/IgM antibody tests: Good for patients who are not currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms but believe they may have been exposed in the past.

Rapid screening test: To test, we prick your finger with a small needle to collect a blood sample. Results are received onsite within 10 minutes.

ELISA (serology) antibody test: This is the newest test we have received. This test is a blood draw. It is currently filed with the FDA and has an emergency use authorization granted by the FDA. Your blood sample is sent to a lab and we expect to receive results back within 24 – 48 hours. This is often used to detect the lowest levels of antibodies present in a patient that may have had COVID-19 several months ago.

We are currently testing anyone who would like to be tested, regardless of age or whether or not you are a current patient. Testing is by appointment only.

If you are interested in making an appointment for any of our COVID-19 tests, we encourage you to email our office at info@pointhealth.us with your name, date of birth and call back number or call us at 855 – 263 – 1487.
